E.S. Savas, Baruch College, CUNY (CV)
Savas serves as the chairman of the AAC. He is a professor of Public Affairs where he teaches courses in public management and his principal research interest is in privatization. Prior to his teaching career he served many years in the public sector. He also directs the Privatization Research Organization in the School of Public Affairs.
Simon Hakim, Temple University (CV)
Hakim is the Director of the Center for Competitive Government and a Professor
of Economics at Temple University. He has been involved in research of
public-private partnerships for many years and is a frequently-published
author.

ABOUT US Academic Advisory Committee The Academic Advisory Committee (AAC) was formed in mid-2003 by NCPPP to serve as a resource to NCPPP members and the general public, and to assist in the development of informational resources on public-private partnerships. This committee holds several responsibilities, including advising on white papers, development of a white/issue paper, and to write articles for Council Insights (NCPPP's newsletter), and for NCPPP's Web site.
