PROJECT SUMMARY
Size: 2,500,000 Square Feet
Location: Alexandria, Virginia
Estimated Cost: $885,000,000
Financing: Taxable Lease Revenue Bonds

After a four-year procurement, LCOR was selected in June 2000 by the U.S. General Services Administration (GSA) to construct a new headquarters for the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO). The 15-acre, 2.5 million square foot, state-of-the-art campus located in Alexandria, Virginia represents the largest lease ever signed by the GSA.

"During GSA's evaluation process, the LCOR proposal was rated as the highest technically...providing the best overall value to the government," said the GSA in selecting LCOR.

The $885-million facility consolidates in five linked buildings approximately 7,100 USPTO employees currently working in 18 different buildings in another location. The campus will provide parking for 3,525 cars and convenient access to the King Street and Eisenhower Avenue Metrorail stations. Initial occupancy is slated for December 2003.
