The Wyoming Business Council serves the citizens of Wyoming by working to increase wages and helping
communities grow and diversify their economies. Overall, the Business Council's mission is to facilitate the growth of Wyoming's economy.
The Business Council and its partners accomplish this by providing assistance for existing Wyoming companies and start-ups; helping
communities meet their development and diversification needs, recruiting new firms and industries targeted to complement the state's
assets; and marketing Wyoming as a world-class travel destination.
The Business Council is a state government agency, created by the legislature in 1998, and receives its budget from the General Fund.
However, its structure resembles more of a corporation with a CEO and a board of directors. The Business Council has regional offices
in Casper, Riverton, Powell, Cheyenne, Gillette Rock Springs, and Kemmerer.
